What Is Lonnie's Room?

There is a room in our home to which I navigate more frequently than the others. It makes me feel secure, it is cozy, and it is quiet. From the peak of the room, there is a large rusty metal angel suspended by a very thin wire. It would apear as if the angel is hovering over me, protecting, and always present. The lighting in the room creates a virtual display of dancing shadows around the angel.

Every evening when I am in "MY ROOM", I think of what Luciano de Crescenzo once said, "We are all like one-winged angels. it is only when we help each other that we can fly."

Step Out of the Box

One of our traditions for the ladies in our family is to attend the Sugar Creek Symphony and Song opera production each year.  This year the opera was The Magic Flute.  It was an outstanding performance and one of my favorites.  Leila Bowie played Pamina, Gennard Lombardozzi played Tomino and my favorite character was Reuben L. Lillie who played Papageno, the "bird man".   The costumes were beautiful, the music outstanding, the casting was perfect and it was "funny"!  Everyone needs to try different things, laugh, enjoy the moment and share that moment with those you enjoy being with.   I sometimes think that in our everyday life we get so busy we forget to do things that make us laugh.  Instead of concentrating on meeting deadlines and checking off items on a to-do list, let's step out of the box, do something fun, and laugh!  Laughing is good for the soul!
