What Is Lonnie's Room?

There is a room in our home to which I navigate more frequently than the others. It makes me feel secure, it is cozy, and it is quiet. From the peak of the room, there is a large rusty metal angel suspended by a very thin wire. It would apear as if the angel is hovering over me, protecting, and always present. The lighting in the room creates a virtual display of dancing shadows around the angel.

Every evening when I am in "MY ROOM", I think of what Luciano de Crescenzo once said, "We are all like one-winged angels. it is only when we help each other that we can fly."

Share a Story or Two!

As a grief counselor, I am a big fan of stories.    Stories are often how we introduce ourselves to others, find our common ground, build relationships and learn from others.  Vera Nazarian said  "The world is shaped by two things... stories told and the memories they leave behind".   I often refer to my grandfather who was always telling us silly stories, slapping his knee and laughing. I can't remember a single story, but I will always remember his character. Telling stories can make sense of the insensible, and leave great memories in their wake. He is a great memory.  What are some of your great memories?  Want to share?
